How will you contribute?
Under the direction of the Manager, Financial Policies, Planning and Corporate Reporting, the Financial Advisor is responsible for providing expertise and leadership in the areas of financial management such as financial reporting (including the preparation of audited financial statements) and costing, planning, budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate must have excellent analytical capabilities, experience using an integrated financial system, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop competencies in strategic thinking, process improvement and client service.

The general public to staff one (1) indeterminate (Permanent, Full-Time) position in the Finance and Procurement Directorate.
Candidates employed by a parliamentary institution and the Federal Public Service interested in a three (3) year interchange opportunity are welcome to apply.

Prerequisites
- University degree with a specialization in accounting, finance and business administration AND a chartered professional accountant designation;
- Significant experience in financial reporting, including the preparation of audited financial statements;
- Significant experience in performing financial analysis, providing financial advice and making recommendations to clients and senior management;
- Experience in the provision of strategic advice, guidance and interpretation to senior management on financial management issues;
- Experience in the preparation of costing analysis;
- Experience in the use of integrated financial management systems such as SAP, Unit4, Oracle and reporting tools;
- Experience in data analysis using advanced Excel functions;
- Experience in the use of Caseware software will be considered an asset;
- Ability to perform complex financial analysis.
