How will you contribute?
The Manager, Accommodation Services, is accountable for leading and managing a group responsible to deliver Accommodation and Tenant services to the Senate of Canada. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the management and coordination of all strategic planning and delivery activities, assessing strategic options, establishing the requirements and monitoring the implementation of these through to occupancy.
The position is responsible for delivering and supporting accommodation services to Senate clients, the Parliamentary Protective Services (PPS), the Ethics Office, as well as to manage base building maintenance requirements for the renovation, repair and refitting of all Senate-occupied buildings, and develops and manages operational strategies and processes that support ongoing planning and forecasting of maintenance needs.
The position is responsible for the planning and organization of office moves and major occupant relocations stemming from long-term LTVP construction/renovation projects. In addition, the manager is responsible for the application of the allocation of office space and associated guidelines for senators, in accordance with the Senate administrative Rules.

Prerequisites
- University degree from a recognized institution in interior design, or related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to interior design;
- A minimum of seven to ten (7 to 10) years of progressive experience in strategic planning, demonstrating knowledge of interior design and space planning, architectural planning and design, and project management, including the management of large-scale long-term projects;
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supervising staff and managing an operational unit including financial resources;
- Experience in providing the delivery of accommodation and tenant services, including the planning and oversight of fit-up projects;
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams, including contractual resources;
- Experience in providing advisory or consultative services to senior management, as well as negotiation and conflict resolution tactics;
- Customer-focused with proven relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze issues, address sensitive complaints and manage with discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
- Superior oral and written communication, consultation and facilitation skills;
