How will you contribute?
As a passionate visual storyteller, you will use your knowledge of social media trends and audiences to craft compelling narratives, developing digital campaigns and creative content that connect Canadians with the work of senators and the Senate. Collaborating with a dynamic team of creatives, you will oversee projects throughout the content lifecycle — from brainstorming and production to posting and analytics review. Your familiarity with various production tools and apps will enable you to play a hands-on role in creating engaging videos, photos, and written posts tailored to each social media platform. You will use strong written and oral communications skills to pitch ideas and explain the rationale behind your creative vision to colleagues and clients.

To staff one (1) indeterminate full-time position in the Communications, Broadcasting and Publications Directorate.
This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

Prerequisites
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field of study or an acceptable combination of related education and experience;
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the communications field;
- Experience developing digital campaigns and creative content;
- Experience leading complex creative projects using project planning tools;
- Experience monitoring and analyzing the performance of digital and social media initiatives using analytics tools;
- Experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn on behalf of an organization;
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office 365 and Canva;
- Knowledge of digital accessibility and WCAG 2.0;
- Strong written and oral communications skills to pitch ideas and explain the rationale behind your creative vision to colleagues and clients in both official languages.
